Ryan Reynolds Shares He Was Mistaken For Ben Affleck At Local Pizzeria

Ryan Reynolds revealed in a recent interview with To Hank and John podcaster is frequently mistaken for Ben Affleck.

The actor shared that on frequent trips to a pizzeria in New York, workers mistook him for Affleck despite having been at the restaurant for many years.

He said, “There’s a pizzeria in the East Village in New York that I’ve been going to for years. They believe that I am Ben Affleck and I have never corrected.”

Reynolds to star in sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place (eventually shortened to Two boys and a girl) from 1998-2001, so the lack of recognition from his go-to pizza place has caused his ego to drop a bit.

As one of the hosts who mentioned the possible negative outcome if Reynolds doesn’t address the issues, the 45-year-old quipped that if he confirmed he wasn’t Affleck , “things won’t go well.”

He also added that he makes lies believable by answering questions “gently” Lost Girl star will know.

“When I left, they thought: I don’t think Ben Affleck is interested in us and our questions. I have to be more careful. ”

Reynolds continued by listing some frequently asked questions such as Affleck’s healed relationship with Jennifer Lopez. He said, “They’ll ask how J.Lo is.” To which he will reply “great” or “good” before taking a bite and leaving.

Despite the confusion, this isn’t the first time the two actors have had a scuffle. In 2015, a Twitter user explained how they had trouble distinguishing Reynolds and Affleck. Reynolds joined in the fun with answer, “Mom, please get off Twitter. Now.”
