To get the Elden Ring Rune multiplier, the player must beat the game and start “Journey 2” from the Placeholder Roundtable.

After Journey 2 begins, the Rune multiplier will begin to affect all Runes earned. This is one of the main reasons players start a new game, as it makes reaching the max level cap much faster.

With the Rune multiplier in effect in the New Journey, players can revisit defeated bosses and defeat them for increased rewards. This will be the loop after completion for many people.

For Journey 3, we recorded a 6% increase compared to Journey 2. This is quite low when compared to the large increase given in Journey 2.

For those currently playing Journey 2, it may not be worth hitting the new game’s plus button a second time because the rewards are severely reduced. Of course, if you plan to keep beating the Elden Ring for the rest of the time, why not?
