If Florida Governor Ron DeSantis As a responsible leader dedicated to the health of his constituents, he will make it clear that the Regeneron monoclonal antibody being used at his five new treatment sites is completely useless. in the current COVID-19 surge.

But DeSantis is DeSantis and therefore his own top priority. He’s happy to offer vain hope in the midst of a pandemic — as his state breaks infection records week after week — if he believes it’s in his political favor.

Last month, DeSantis held a press conference outside Ocala Medical Center with a sign that read “Early treatment saves life” and touted monoclonal antibodies as the answer to the COVID crisis. His General Surgeon, Joe Ladapo, described vaccines, masks and tests as a “triple” of “dementia”.
