Rocket League season 5 adds new arena variant for private matches and free to play

Missile Federation Fans on PC and consoles, as well as mobile, will get new content this week. It’s rolled out, starting with mobile players getting access to the new indie game Rocket League Sideswipepre-season in some regions. The pre-season is being rolled out bit by bit starting in Oceania and will continue to roll out through the end of the month. Pre-season participants will have access to limited customization items and a chance to get to know the game before Season One begins. If you want to explore the game but it is not available in your region, you can find the gameplay video below.
In OG Rocket League news, update 2.08 available on both PC and console as of today, bring Part 5 which I have to admit, even for someone who doesn’t play Rocket League, looks pretty epic…however, could be the whole theme of space. I like that very much. Season 5 adds a new arena to Free to Play and Private Matches: ‘Starbase Arc: Aftermath’. Of course, it also has a Rocket Pass with lots of space-themed cosmetics.
Players may also be pleased (or disappointed, depending on your perspective) to learn that Psyonix has also made some changes to player reports. First, they updated the list to include more reasons to choose when reporting someone. The system also now allows reporters to choose multiple reasons to cover other people – for players who only decide to go the extra mile when it comes to being a badass. There are now more ways to report as well, and so you can be sure your report has been delivered, an alert will now pop up in-game once you’ve completed the process.
