Roblox is suing a content creator banned from becoming a “cybermob” leader

Roblox Corporation is to sue controversial Roblox content creator, Benjamin Robert Simon, also known as Ruben Sim, for leading a “cybermob” and terrorizing the platform and its developers.

Alleging that Simon “performs and encourages unlawful acts intended to cause injury to Roblox and its users,” Roblox Corporation is reportedly seeking a staggering $1.6 million in damages. follow Kotaku.

According to Roblox’s lawyers, Simon was initially banned for “harassing users and using racist and homophobic profanity, as well as sexually harassing and uploading pictures of Adolf Hitler. ” Despite being banned, Simon continued to access the platform by hacking and using other user accounts.

Additionally, Roblox’s attorneys allege that Simon posted “terrorist threats” that caused the Roblox Developers Conference in San Francisco to close in October. These threats include claims that the scene San Francisco police are “hunting for a notorious Muslim extremist” at the event, as well as tweeting “Don’t come to RDC tomorrow.”
