Rittenhouse ‘Should Be Acquitted’, Then Sue Media for ‘Vigilante Justice’

Alan Dershowitz, no matter what you think of him as a person, carries a lot of weight when it comes to the Constitution and laws of the United States.

In a recent interview with Newsmax, Dershowitz accused CNN, The New York Times and the left-wing media in general of playing a vigilante role in the high-profile Kyle Rittenhouse case. He also said that Rittenhouse should be acquitted.

Final arguments in the Rittenhouse trial are underway as of this writing. I, like many Americans, watched the proceedings on television with great interest. In my opinion, the majority of Americans, regardless of their political affiliation, would agree with Dershowitz.

Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree reckless murder, among other counts. If all of the initial charges the prosecution brought against Rittenhouse were unsuccessful, he would face 170 years in prison. Rittenhouse is 18 years old this year.

Dershowitz, professor emeritus at Harvard Law School, believes there are clear grounds for reasonable doubt in the case and that Rittenhouse acted in self-defence.
