Rittenhouse says his ex-lawyer set him up to meet with pride boys, the prosecution used this against him

Both the established media and the prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse case attempted to use images of Rittenhouse with members of the Proud Boys against him. In a new interview, Rittenhouse thinks the painting is an installation.

“I didn’t know that the OK hand sign was a symbol of white supremacy, just as I didn’t know that the people in the bar were the Proud Boys,” Rittenhouse told Ashleigh Banfield of News Nation Now.

“They were set up by my former attorney who was fired for that, for putting me in situations like that, with people I disagreed with, by letting them set up for privacy without do not tell us their background. And if I knew they were the Proud Boys, I would say absolutely no. ”

The original Rittenhouse security team consisted of Lin Wood and John Pierce, both staunch supporters of former President Donald Trump, Insiders reported.

Rittenhouse has been outspoken against the two men since the trial ended. In a separate interview with Tucker Carlson, Rittenhouse accused the two men of setting up a fraudulent fundraiser to raise money for his bail.

“Lin Wood raised money on my behalf, and he locked me up for 87 days, disrespecting my wishes, giving me media interviews that I should never have done, ‘ said Rittenhouse.

“Along with John Pierce, they say I’m safer in prison than at home with my family.”

Rittenhouse Pierce and Wood concluded “we were trying to raise money so they could use it for their own benefit” instead of bailing him out of prison as they claimed. He is currently in a legal dispute with Wood over the money raised, Insider reported.

Regarding the Proud Boys incident, Rittenhouse said it was Pierce who arranged for Rittenhouse to meet the group members at a bar. However, Pierce was mysteriously absent from the actual meeting.

Even after talking to men and creating pictures to them, Rittenhouse said he did not know they were members of the Proud Boys.

“I found out they were Proud Boys when I saw the headlines,” he said. “I think they’re just a bunch of, like, geeks who build on their looks.”

The purpose of the meeting, Rittenhouse said, was to discuss the possibility of these people providing him with security. Upon learning of their affiliation with the Proud Boys, he decided not to hire them as he did not want to be associated with that group.

Assuming Rittenhouse’s account is correct, it shows that his legal team has completely failed to protect him. Instead of putting him in positions to succeed, they held meetings with groups established media drew as controversial.

Even if Rittenhouse did meet with the Proud Boys on purpose, it’s unclear how that would have made him a “white supremacist,” as many have claimed. After all, the international president of the Proud Boys was a black man named Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, WUSA-TV reported.

If Rittenhouse didn’t even know the men were members of the Proud Boys, the story he purportedly associated with white supremacists became even less logical. Thankfully, he hired a much more skilled team of attorneys general who ultimately delivered him a not-so-familiar verdict on all charges.
