Riot Reav3 teases a possible second VGU in 2022, but it’s uncertain

Despite Riot Games reducing the number of VGUs it deals with League of Legends each year to shift the focus to creating new champions, there may be more than one remake slated for release before the end of 2022.

In a Reddit thread discussing champion releases scheduled for this year, Ryan “Reav3” Mireles, lead champion producer for League. “[There is the] potential for the second, “Reav3” speak. “We have[n’t] landed on a sturdy enough hook but still can’t trust we’ll ship it. ” VGU can have also “not in one place [where] We are confident to talk about it,” according to him.

As part of the Season 2022 overview live stream, riot announced another vote this year, which will determine the champion to receive VGU in 2023. The survey is similar to the one that led to the remakes for Volibear and Fiddlesticks, as well as the upcoming tweaks for Udyr. This year, players can vote for Shyvana, Skarner, Tyrndamere, Nocturne or Kog’Maw as their choice of VGU recipient, who will be remade in 2023. Ahri Announced as Caitlyn Level ASU Recipient later this year, but no other champions have been revealed to receive any of these changes.

While this year’s second VGU is unknown and has not been confirmed to take place, many players have speculated that the other champion to be remade is Quinn, who appeared in the VGU poll last season. but has been significantly absent this season. Even though she’s been reworked once, Quinn is still an odd and underused champion due to her kit and low survivability in the top lane as an AD carry. However, Quinn’s second remake is purely fan speculation and has yet to be confirmed.

Players can vote now in League Customers for the champion they want to receive VGU in 2023, choose between Shyvana, Skarner, Tryndamere, Nocturne and Kog’Maw. Last year’s poll winner, Udyr, will be remade by the end of this year.
