The year may be coming to an end, but Riot Games has planned a lot of entertainment activities for League of Legends fans for next year. The company has announced the host cities and locations for the 2022 World Championship, which will be held through a multi-city tour in North America.
The event will take place in four cities across the continent, first stopping at Mexico City in Laugh out loud Esports’ LLA Competition Arena for the play-in phase of the event. The competition then moves to New York City for the group stage and quarterfinals, which will be held at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.
Canadian fans will be happy to know the competition League has finally returned to Toronto since the 2016 LCS Summer Finals. Six will host the Worlds semifinals at Scotiabank Arena, marking the first time the tournament has been held north of the border.
Finally, the 2022 World Championship Finals will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. This is a big occasion for NA League fans consider the region to have not hosted the World Championships since 2016.

With less than a year to go until Worlds kicks off, hopefully the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic might improve enough that fans can come to the stands and cheer on their favorite teams. while the teams fight for the Summoner’s Cup.
