Apparently, former Vice President Mike Pence is as delusional as the rest of the GOP’s Conservative Party, Inc., founding faction. That milquetoast man, According to a Newsweek report and CNN segment, suggesting that he is ready to pose a “big challenge” to Trump if Trump decides to run for office in 2024.
The report, based on Alyssa Farah, a former adviser to the former Vice President, details what Pence sees as his selling point and, delusionally hilarious, presents Pence as someone who can be truly defiant. Trump in 2024.
Farah, who used to very critical of Trump since the 2020 election, posted on CNN and detailed what she thinks Pence can do as the nation and party prepare for the 2024 election.
Specifically, she didn’t just say she thought Pence would run and the field wouldn’t turn itself into Trump’s position, but “Donald Trump’s coronation would be the worst for the party, but more importantly for the country.”
Obviously, accepting Trump as the candidate is more likely to beat whoever the Democrats have to offer in order to “coward”.
But Farah did not stop there. After stating that she hopes Pompeo and DeSantis will also try to get in Trump’s way, she elaborated on what she sees as Pence’s winning traits, his way of celebrating:
“I think Pence knows that he has a unique position in that he can promote a record of what so many Americans still have – still wish he was still in office. 74 million people voted for Trump but not much downside. ”
Apparently, Farah sees Pence’s lack of fighting spirit as what will help him put up a “foreign fight” against Trump.
Despite those hopeful predictions from Pence’s RINO henchman, it’s unlikely the GOP establishment agrees. According to a Morning Consult poll, “Two-thirds of Republican voters say they want former President Donald Trump to run for president in 2024. Furthermore, eighty-two percent of Republican voters view former President Trump in favor.
Add to this Trump’s chance of once again clearing the field of challengers who want anyone other than him to be able to decide with a challenger. Of those who don’t want Trump, 26% (13% of the GOP) want Pence, 20% (12% of the GOP) want DeSantis, and the rest support potential candidates as diverse as Donald Trump Jr. and Nikki Halley.
Since the poll has a margin of error of just two percent, that’s important news for Trump, as it means the majority of the party is still on his side, not with established figures like Pence and Halley.
So while established machines like Farah may boldly claim that anything other than their daring masters presents a significant challenge to Trump, such claims could incorrect. When the votes of the “MAGA” candidates — Trump, DeSantis and Trump Jr. — were examined and compared to the establishment, they accounted for 65% of the GOP’s support compared with 20% of Liz Cheney’s support, Mitt Romney and Mike Pence wait.
That high level of support for the MAGA agenda may be why Farah attempted to slander Trump as an ambitious autocrat at the end of her CNN interview, saying:
“There are things that he wanted to do when he took office for the first time that were beyond what the president of the United States could do, but sometimes it was simply the momentum of his hopes of winning re-election that kept him from going. . work. It’s very different in a second term and I think that’s what scared me the most.”
With the majority of Republicans wanting Trump to run, and an even larger segment of the party with views in his favor, it’s unlikely that many voters share Farah’s concerns, and even less likely that they will. voted for Pence because she was lied to.
