Ricky Gervais Shares ‘After Life’ Season 3 Trailer

Ricky Gervais shared a trailer for the upcoming third season of his Netflix original series, Afterlife.

While the series certainly has a comedic element, Gervais has taken viewers on an emotional roller coaster ride as it follows Tony’s journey after the tragic loss of his wife.

Tony got over his heartbreak in the first season, but started to make progress in Season 2, opening up and enjoying his life again with the help of some new friends. Season 2 was released in April 2020 and it looks like Season 3 will be coming very soon based on the caption in Gervais’ tweet.

You can check out the trailer below.

Set to a song called “Just Three Things,” the video showed viewers some scenes from Afterlife, which features Tony with his father, dog, and late wife.

Fans were overwhelmed with emotion from the heartfelt clip with one person writing: “You made me cry…………. Great! That’s beautiful Ricky. ”

Another comment read: “I was sitting in a coffee shop when this popped up – so I stupidly clicked on it knowing full well that I might end up in tears. And I have. Thanks, Ricky. ”

The upcoming third series is set to be the show’s final, as Gervais previously confirmed that he “does [his] Remember that there will be no four. “

After the release of Part 2, Gervais said Mirror: “And you do those things to make you remember because it’s catchy but… there’s an old saying that ‘to lead an orchestra, you have to turn your back on the audience’. Correct. The audience thinks they want another one, but they’re not sure. So you have to be careful. “

There is currently no confirmed release date for Season 3 of Afterlife.
