Review: Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters: 4-LOM & Zuckuss

Star Wars: Battle of the Bounty Hunters: 4-LOM & Zuckuss is the second tie-in to Marvel’s Star Wars: Battle of the Bounty Hunters. It’s humorously entitled “Zuckuss Should Die” which made me consider John Tucker Should Die. The difficulty is written by Daniel José Older, with artwork and coloring by Kei Zama and Felipe Sobriero.

Set simply after Star Wars: Battle of the Bounty Hunters #1, the comedian intersects with Justina Eire’s Jabba the Hutt tie-in that includes Deva Lompop, who arrives in flashbacks in “Zuckuss Should Die.” It picks up within the aftermath of Zuckuss being left for lifeless by Boba Fett on Nar Shaddaa, when he left with a disabled 4-LOM.

Older not too long ago teased the return of a minor Star Wars character throughout a podcast interview. He had beforehand written this character in Final Shot and the deserter-turned-dewback fanatic returns in “Zuckuss Should Die” with implications that he could seem in future installments of the bigger Battle of the Bounty Hunters tales.

The comedian strikes between the current story and the previous, delving a bit of deeper into the partnership between Zuckuss and 4-LOM, to supply deeper context for the occasions taking place all through the multi-comic sequence. Sadly for 4-LOM (and Zuckuss) the formidable protocol droid turned bounty hunter is being managed by Cribiriz, driving the droid to wish to homicide Zuckuss.

The primary two tie-in points for Battle of the Bounty Hunters have been extraordinarily enjoyable interludes, they usually present a glance into the characters on the periphery. It is going to be fascinating to see how they match into the bigger story and if they’re constructing as much as one thing larger on their very own. One side that I personally love about these comics is that they’re crammed with non-humanoid characters, which is one thing live-action Star Wars usually fails to signify.
