Back in 2020, we shared a story about a Legend of Zelda ‘s project Metroid Prime team, Retro Studios.

It is supposed to be an action game/JRPG that will star Sheik and will be a story set in the “bad ending” of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – explore the journey of the last Sheikah while Dark Gerudo is “birthing 100 years” for Ganon.

At the time, former Retro Studios artist Sammy Hall, shared this pre-production artwork that is said to have been destroyed project around the time of the Wii era. Now, in a slight update, last year gigaleak passed a new Nintendo document that seems to cement this project’s existence. This is a translation, courtesy of Source Gaming Editor:

Talk to IGN last MayHall mentioned that he didn’t think Nintendo had seen much of the concept art for the Sheik Zelda game, and said that the project was canceled the minute that the former leaders of Retro are now Mark Pacini, Todd Keller and Kynan Pearson left the studio.

You can see more of this Sheik concept art (as well as the canceled Boo project) and learn more about Nintendo’s gigaleak in our previous stories:
