Report accuses Tesla of letting drivers play video games while the car is in motion

Following the complaint, NHTSA investigated more than half a million Tesla vehicles for the safety of gaming while the vehicle was in motion.
Tesla Cars are known for many things, such as the ability to play video games. Over the years, these electric cars have been equipped with powerful gaming hardware, allowing graphics-intensive games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 Played on several models. Recently, the US government announced that it is investigating more than half a million Tesla vehicles. This new investigation stems from a complaint filed by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). Over the past few months, NHTSA has expressed concerns about the safety of Tesla vehicles. While Passenger Play has been allowing people to play games from Tesla Arcade while parked for a while, it recently received an update that gives passengers access to a trio of games, Sky Force Reloaded, Solitaire, and Battle of Polytopia, while the vehicle is in motion. While the updated feature is for passengers only, there’s little that stops drivers from using it.
The news comes as Tesla plans to make even more video games accessible through its various car models. Recently, the company partnered with SEGA to bring classic platformer Sonic the Hedgehog for its vehicles. This classic title joins an impressive list of popular titles available on Tesla cars, As if Stardew Valley, Cuphead, and Fallout Shelter. It will be interesting to see if this ongoing investigation from NHTSA affects the number of games available on these cars in the future.
