Red Announcement Officially Becomes Netflix’s Most Viewed Movie Ever
Within 18 days of its release, Red Announcement became Netflix’s most watched series and has been streamed with 328 million hours watched.

Red Notice producer and actress Dwayne Johnson shared the news on his Twitter account on Tuesday and revealed an even bigger figure of 392 million watch hours. However, he later posted the news to his Instagram account on Wednesday morning with the number corrected. Director Rawson Thurber also confirmed the news and revealed that Red Notice was on NetflixTop 10 list of all 94 territories since its release.

Red Notice managed to reach the top within the first 18 days of its release on streamer. According to the numbers revealed by Thurber, the series has reached 121 million Netflix subscribers.
The record for most watched original movies on Netflix was previously held by Sandra Bullock’s Bird box, watched for a total of 282 million hours in the first month since its launch in 2018. Red Notice on the way broke records within a week of its release, and surpassed the benchmark before completing the first release phase.
It’s not surprising to see Red Notice sky rocket to the top spot on Netflix. When it was first announced, it was billed as the streamer’s first action movie and featured an all-star cast that included Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. The term Red Notice refers to the highest notice issued by Interpol about the arrest of a criminal. While fans expect a fully action-packed adventure, first person Red Notice intro video promises completely hilarious moments between Johnson’s FBI agent John Hartley and Reynolds’ art thief Nolan Booth.
It’s clear that the two actors will have great chemistry, and their characters will be forced to work together in a buddy-cop drama. The two go on a mission to catch the most wanted art thief in the world, The Bishop of Gadot.
