Call of Duty: Warzone Fans who have been using the game’s Weapon XP trick may want to make the most of it while they can. Raven Software is now fully aware of this bug, with Call of Duty: Warzone developers disable Double XP in Plunder until a fix is available.

Call of Duty: WarzoneDouble Weapon XP Tricks was found with the launch of Caldera. Part of what makes it so effective is the fact that it can be done in Plunder, a game mode where players respawn if they die. As such, death is not a deterrent, as the player can continue to respawn to focus on mining. Aside from being doable in Plunder, this trick is easy to do, as all the player needs to do is complete the game’s new Top Secret Contract.

Added as part of Call of Duty: WarzoneUpdate Part 1 of, Top Secret Contracts are tracked to give more Weapon XP each time a Contract is completed. Players can stack Contracts, focusing on completing as much of each match as possible. With this exploit, a gun can be leveled up several dozen times in a match, as the Dual Weapon’s XP duration makes this trick even more powerful. However, with many players maxing out new guns quickly by mining, it was only a matter of time before the developers noticed it.

Raven Software disabled Double Weapon XP in Pillage Currently, a decision has disappointed those who have paired Double Weapon’s XP time with Top Secret Contract mining. With many feeling that weapon leveling up takes too long in its default state, fans feel like this bug has made things fair. For instance, Twitter user @jM77125376 believes that players using this trick are just trying to “entertain”. Considering that those with max weapons had better access to attachments, casual players used exploits for the whole playing field.

Notwithstanding, Raven software will likely stand by its decision, as the developer certainly sees the exploit as something that completely ruins the development of the game. While fans will continue to debate this decision, the fact remains that Plunder fans will not be able to benefit from Double Weapon XP. Regular Double XP and Double Battle Pass XP have also been disabled in Plunder, as Top Secret Contracts also seem to be leveling up players in those regions.

Currently, Raven Software’s Trello page states that the Contract bug is still under investigation. So, Call of Duty: Warzone player will need to wait for a resolution or play something other than Plunder to take advantage of the Double XP phase.

Call of Duty: Warzone currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
