Jack Harlow wanted to fulfill his role by helping his black fans.

Rapper Louisville Jack Harlow, 23 years old, responded to a video of a young woman having a violent encounter with two policemen. The video shows a woman – who appears to be of black descent – standing outside near a line dedicated to a venue. Clearly distressed, she shouted:

“…[y’all are acting like I’m] I’m doing something bad… all I want to do is get to the point f ***** g – STOP! All I want to do is go to Jack Harlow’s concert… no, you’re all acting like I’m doing something bad! ”

One of the officers repeatedly pointed his finger at the fan’s face and grabbed her by the neck.

Jack Harlow repost the video and annotate it:

“This video caught my attention a few hours ago. When I watched it, I was disgusted by that cop and all I wanted to do was make something good happen to this girl right away… I told everyone to help me identify her. her so that I could find a way to hug her and give her as many tickets to as many shows as I wanted. But that’s still not enough, and it’s not the solution to a systemic problem facing people who don’t look like me.”

He continued:

“The next step is to identify this officer and get him out of work as quickly as possible. Assaulting a young woman and placing your hand on her neck is pathological.”

He added:

“I look out in the crowd every night and see black women in my front row…screaming my lyrics, coming to see me, supporting me, riding for me. I want this woman and every black woman who supports me to know – I’m so sorry. “

He concluded:

“I want you protected and I want this guy to lose his job so quickly. I love you. Look for this officer.”

Harlow spoke out about his support for Black Lives Matter. In 2020, he returned to his hometown to attend a rally for the murder of Breonna Taylor.

He has also presented himself as socially conscious, saying he will never truly understand racism. I said XXL:

“I grew up with Negroes and they would tell me about their experiences, but as a white person, there was no way I could really feel it.”

He continued:

“I might know it was there, but I could never really know what it was like and know what it really was like. And I think that gave me a certain amount of responsibility because there’s a lot of white people here that deny the reality of that. If anything, I try to listen more than I talk.”

The “What’s Poppin” rapper started honing his craft at the age of 12. His career started around 2018 after he moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, his songs have skyrocketed on the Tik Tok platform. This past summer, he was featured on rap-
