Rand Paul’s false claim that masks don’t work

“When you talk about peer-reviewed studies on masks, there was one study done in Denmark, which showed that it didn’t work. When you look at the whole of Sweden – 1.8 million children didn’t wear masks in the last two years, they haven’t had a single death yet. And you say, ‘Well, have the teachers been infected?’ Well, it turns out that teachers are infected at the same rate as the rest of the public. So they didn’t have a mask for a year, a year and a half. And it worked. And that’s a whole country.”
