Rand Paul Opposes Democrats for Massive Climate, Social Spending Bill in Crisis Crisis as Party Moves to Pass Trillions in New Law: ‘These People Can’t Run 7- Eleven, much less than the government’

Senator Rand Paul took Democrats to task in a Thursday interview on Fox Business, criticizing the party for trillions of dollars in spending measures, including a plan “Build back better”.
House Democrats are looking to pass a plethora of spending bills including the $1.75 trillion BBB plan and the $700 billion Defense Authorization Bill north, right away. even as they debated a stopgap spending measure to keep the government running past the midnight Friday deadline .
“When we passed our final spending bill in September, we knew this day was coming. The Democrats did nothing,” Paul told Maria Bartiromo.
“They haven’t put out a spending bill, and I don’t even think it’s passed the House… they’re going to do it on the last day. Well, things in the Senate take about a week to pass, and that’s normal procedure here… including amendments,” he continued.
“If they want to force it through without amendment and they want to do it in a short time, they have to have unanimous consent. Well, a lot of us disagree… just because the Democrats are incompetent and haven’t given the opinion that we should speed up time so they spend more money is bankrupting our country. me,” the Kentucky Republican added.
“So is the debt ceiling; we moved the debt ceiling back two months, about a month ago or so, it will go up in the next week or two. They had plenty of time to go to the committee, to do all the things they needed to do to get it done through mediation,” he said.
“Instead, they will wait until the last minute and ask people like me who have died fighting the debt ceiling, like, say, ‘Oh, you can be pretty, please speed it up. and let only Democrats get through this?’
“No. If they want to raise the debt ceiling, they have to. They’ve had plenty of time to do it. It’s all down to the Democrats, it’s their incompetence to get everything done. These people cannot run 7-Eleven, much less the government,” he added.
In late November, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told Parliament that the debt ceiling – which was temporarily suspended by Congress in 2019 – must be raised by December 15 to prevent a credit crunch. government.
“While I strongly believe that the Treasury will be able to fund the U.S. government through December 15 and complete the Highway Trust Fund investment, there are situations where the Treasury will no longer be able to do so. sufficient resources remain to continue funding its activities in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
“As federal government cash flows are subject to inevitable changes, I will continue to update Congress as more information becomes available,” Yellen added.
