Ragnarok on PC? Barlog has ‘No Idea’

God of War director Cory Barlog was asked if he knew if the upcoming sequel would arrive on PC faster than God of War.
Few if any games are as highly anticipated as the sequel to Sony’s 2018 action-adventure game Santa Monica. God of War. God of War: Ragnarok been expected since then God of War ended up on a video game, with the added benefit of being released on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Now, however, there’s an extra side to expect. God of War: Ragnarok. Recent releases of God of War on PC leaving PC gamers hungry for a sequel although that may not be happening anytime soon.
Talk to Game Informer, God of War manager Cory Barlog no good news to share with PC gamers. When asked if PlayStation and Sony Santa Monica Studio have any plans to bring God of War: Ragnarok 4 years faster to get the first game, Barlog said he “don’t know.” Technically, it’s not zero, but it’s not something that PC fans of God of War might want to listen right now.
According to Barlog, Sony is currently “playing it one game at a time”, assuming it refers to Sony’s slow rollout of PC ports overtime. He mentions how each game is rated on how well it performs and whether people like it. Clearly, It can be assumed God of War: Ragnarok will be well received. It’s odd that Barlog would mention that in the context of the possibility of a PC port, but that’s how he describes the situation, regardless.
The last thing Barlog has to say about this is that in the end it’s up to Sony whether God of War: Ragnarok brought to the PC and how long that will take. Look ahead PlayStation exclusive that Sony has brought to PC, Sony has clearly taken its time converting its games, and there’s little that can be done in a hurry.
If God of War: Ragnarok Barlog will definitely make it to PC. At the same time, his focus is and will likely continue to be on new projects Santa Monica developing. PC port of God of Warfor example, is handled by a third-party developer named Jetpack Interactive with oversight from Santa Monica.
In the end, what Barlog is probably trying to say, is that God of War: RagnarokPriority release on PS4 and PS5. When it does launch, there will be factors that determine whether a major proprietary product will perform at the level that Sony needs. If Sony believes God of War: Ragnarokexclusivity of still selling consoles, so there’s not much reason to bring it to PC. PC gamers will simply have to be as patient as they do with PlayStation games.
