R. Kelly Officially Replaces Mr.’s Chicago Legal Team W / Bill Cosby’s Attorney of Appeal

New details have recently appeared around R. Kelly ongoing legal troubles.

According to reports, yesterday (February 16) the R&B star became a convicted felon R kelly55 years old, cut ties with her Chicago legal team and hired an attorney who successfully appealed, 84 years old Bill Cosby’s trust to protect him against the pending abuse charges he is facing.

As previously reported, R kelly is awaiting sentencing at a federal prison in Brooklyn after being found guilty last September of multiple counts including fraud and violating the Mann Act. Kelly faces a second trial for allegedly producing child pornography, set for August of this year.

During a teleconference that reportedly took place yesterday morning (February 16), Kelly revealed that he wanted Bill Cosby’s The appellate attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, represented him forward. When asked by US District Judge Harry Leinenweber if he would cut ties with the Chicago-based attorneys, Kelly answer,

“That’s right, your honor.”

Kelly seems to be getting rid of all his old attorneys. Earlier this month, three lawyers in the trial of the ‘Ignition’ singer’s first case also withdrew their names during the trial.
