Punjab Congress MPs to meet today to discuss state unit issues

Bajwa told ANI: “We have invited all MPs (Parliament) from Punjab to come to a meeting to come up with strategy on farmers issue and discuss some important issues related to Parliament. (Punjab).
The meeting took place amid heightened political opinion about possible organizational changes in the Punjab Congress. When Navjot Singh Sidhu Most likely to head the party’s Punjab unit, the four working chairmen will be appointed alongside him, the sources said.
Incidentally, the meeting took place a day after Bajwa, along with Punjabi Speaker Rana KP Singh and bang Room Minister Rana Gurmeet Sodhi met Punjab Chief, Captain Amarinder Singh at his residence.
On Friday, sources have said that the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh has written to the Interim Speaker of Parliament Sonia Gandhi expressed concern about the possible appointment of party leader Navjot Singh Sidhu as head of the PCC.
A power dispute in the Punjab Parliament has been going on for almost a month as Sidhu openly rebelled against the state government by criticizing the electricity crisis in the state. The National Assembly leadership has been working to find a solution to the rift ahead of parliamentary polls early next year.
