As a mediocre fighting game player who grew his wings in the anime fighting games that raised me, the upcoming movie scene from LOTS project looks absolutely fascinating. Riot Games revealed a trailer, showcasing some footage from its latest fighting game. And in a twist of fate, the game is also a card game, allowing you to use two characters at once. I wouldn’t call myself great at fighting games, but I think I can break the full ladder. League of Legends refugees. Come to me, children.
New trailer confirms three characters from League of Legends universe: Ekko, Jinx, Ahri and Darius. The combination looks long and angry. Its amalgamation looks absurd and ambiguous. If LOTS project won’t be my generation’s next degenerate warrior, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself.
League of Legends in a fighting game
LOTS project Apply the spell that exists in most modern fighting games these days: easy to learn, hard to master. The buttons have been simplified, meaning most characters won’t have the intermittent inputs that make some fighting games so intimidating. Ease of play is meant to promote fun across all skill levels, rather than giving new players an edge over more experienced ones.
The developers have also dived into Ekko’s kit, with a bunch of mind-bending tricks. Uses his rewind mechanism found in League of Legends, Ekko can reset to different positions at different points, allowing you to expand combos or perform some frenetic passages. The developers also revealed LOTS project will receive a recovery netcode, which is a common form of netcode these days for smoother online gaming.
Unfortunately, there’s no release date yet, so we’ll have to wait and see when Riot will be ready to drop its latest project. Meanwhile, you can check game trailer below, and study hard. The latest fighting game awaits.
