Prisco picks in NFL Week 13: Bills reclaim top spot in AFC East with primetime win over Patriots; Bucs, Rams roll

December is here, time to celebrate and feel good, so let’s get the options back on track.

Make it a memorable December. Wait, I’ve heard that before.

Anyway, the selections weren’t great last week. I won 7-8 on spreads, 9-6 straight and 3-3 on my Best Bet as part of the Pick Six Podcast.

That makes my season a record of 93-85-3 over odds, straight 106-73-1 and 38-37 with my Best Bets.

With the knockout stages just seven weeks away, it’s time for me to make a real playoff kick like some teams will in the next six weeks. This is my time.

It’s his December, after all, and I’m a fun guy year round, so it feels like it’s my month.

Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET (Fox)

Cowboys will play without head coach Mike McCarthy later he tested positive for COVID-19, but the Saints were really knocked down. I want the players on the field. The Cowboys can handle it without McCarthy. The defense was carved by Raiders, but they can get Taysom Hill in midfield here. He is not a good passer. Cowboys will win in a tough road game. It’s close.

Pick: Cowboys 24, Saints 23

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Miami Dolphin -4

These two teams are still alive in the playoff hunt, and the Dolphins have racked up four straight wins. Tagovailoa are playing well and the defense has really improved. A quick Miami pass will be the difference this time as the Dolphins continue to surge.

Pick: Dolphin 23, Giant 17

Latest rate:

Houston Texans +10

The Colts were about to have a tough loss to the Bucs, but they got their chance here against the Texans. Search Jonathan Taylor to have a big day run it with Carson Wentz hit a few shots on the field. Houston won’t keep up.

Pick: Colts 26, Texans 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Supreme +)

Latest rate:

Detroit Lion +7

The Lions will be resting after competing on Thanksgiving, while the Vikings are playing consecutive road games. Plus, they almost certainly won’t run again Dalvin Cook. The Vikings will be looking to win this game, but the Lions will close in on it, which they have done this season.

Pick: Viking 24, Lion 22

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Supreme +)

Latest rate:

New York Jet +7

The Jets won last week on the go, while the Eagles lost to the Giants on the same stadium they will be playing in this week. The Eagles attack was lifeless last week, while the Jets actually showed some life. I think the Jets will hover, but the Eagles will win late.

Pick: Eagles 21, Jets 19

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Chicago Bears +7.5

Cardinals will say goodbye and should have Kyler Murray back for this one. The Bears defeated the Lions last week with Andy Dalton, but Justin Fields could come back with his wounded laceration. Whoever it is, I think the Bears keep this one among. But the Cardinals will pull it out late.

Pick: Cardinals, 21, Bears 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Supreme +)

Latest rate:

Cincinnati Bengals -3

This is a big game for both teams. The Chargers are playing the second straight line game and they don’t seem okay to lose Broncos last week. The Bengalis are playing their best football. I think that brings here like Joe Mixon run frantically against the Chargers defense to overshadow the Justin Herbert-Joe Burrow confrontation.

Pick: Bengals 29, Charger 23

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Atlanta Falcons +11

The Bucs are playing consecutive, always tough road games. Atlanta is on a winning streak at Jacksonville, which keeps their knockout hopes alive. Tampa Bay’s offensive behavior would be too much for the Falcons defence, and I can’t see Atlanta’s attacking line defending Matt Ryan. Bucs will roll.

Pick: Bucs 37, Falcons 20

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Los Angeles Rams -13

It’s been a long ride for a young team that isn’t doing well against a team that is losing big and well. That’s a bad combination. Jaguars have never played well on the West Coast and they won’t be here either. Look for the Rams to escape their funk, especially Matt Stafford. This would be very bad.

Pick: Rams 37, Jaguars 13

Washington football team at Las Vegas Raiders (-2.5)

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Las Vegas Raiders -1.5

Washington is currently playing good football, winning three games in a row. Las Vegas made an impression by beating the Cowboys on the road on Thanksgiving. This is a remarkable case. Taylor Heinicke will try and keep up Derek Carr, but eventually the Raiders will take it.

Pick: Raiders 31, Washington 27

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Supreme +)

Latest rate:

Pittsburgh Steelers +4.5

This has become a major competitor known for its physical play, but the Steelers have barely seen any fitness over the past two weeks. They are in big trouble, while Raven is about to have a tough win at home against Cleveland. The current Raven’s offense isn’t good, though. The Steelers will find a way to win this late play in a survival game.

Pick: Steelers 23, Ravens 20

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox)

Latest rate:

Seattle Seahawks +3

The Seahawks have lost six of their seven games and their season is essentially over. The 49ers are playing their best football. San Francisco is running at will against teams and it will do the same with the Seahawks. They will control both script routes to bring the dagger into Seattle’s season.

Pick: 49ers 24, Seahawks 19

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC)

Latest rate:

Kansas City Chief -9.5

The Broncos are enjoying an impressive home win over the Chargers, while the captains will be bye. Kansas City had a season back on track before saying goodbye, so they have to hope that the delay doesn’t derail that. I don’t think it did. The defense is playing a lot better, and the Chiefs will limit the Broncos committing crimes. Patrick Mahomes will get his shots down the pitch with an aggressive side player and hit them to play big.

Pick: Chiefs 31, Broncos 17

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Latest rate:

Buffalo Bills -2.5

This is the match of the week with first place AFC East. The Patriots have won six games in a row and really impressed defensively. It will be fun to see what Bill Belichick throws in Josh Allen. The Bills last week looked much better than last week than they did for most of November. They continue to play well here. Bill take it.

Pick: Bills 26, Patriots 20
