Prince Albert, Sask. Search warrant leads to stolen property, weapon

The Prince Albert Police Service said members of the crime-fighting team executed a search warrant Wednesday that led to an arrest.

Officers said they searched an apartment on Kemp Crescent just after 5:00 p.m. and found a sawed-off rifle and ammunition, along with stolen checks, ID cards and other documents.

According to police, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, among other things; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition; possession of a criminally obtained firearm; possession of stolen property; and violation of court-ordered conditions.

The man was due to appear in court Thursday morning.
