Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement Friday morning

Premier Doug Ford is expected to make the announcement on Friday morning.

The Prime Minister will be joined by Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, Justice Minister Doug Downey and Transport Minister Caroline Mulroney for a press conference at 10:30am.

A source told Global News that the announcement will be related to protests at the US-Canada border.

A blockade continues as protesters protest against multiple COVID-19 restrictions at Ambassador Bridge, the bridge connecting Windsor, Ont. to Detroit. It is one of the busiest land border crossings in Canada.
