The U.S. Census reported that the official poverty charge rose barely in 2020 to 11.4 %, up from a document low 10.5 % in 2019, however after accounting for all the federal government help funds, the so-called supplemental poverty measure declined to 9.1 % in 2020 from 11.8 % in 2019.
