A number of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters could end up being a pre-order bonus for the games that are exclusive to Spain.
Pre-order bonuses are nothing new for players. Many publishers want to get the public to buy games as quickly as possible. One way to lure in potential buyers is by promising an exclusive item that’s only available for pre-orders. That Pokemon Franchise is no stranger to this, having recently announced a flying Pikachu for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet available by pre-ordering the games.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have become quite the debated topic in some circles around the internet since their latest trailer. Among other topics discussed such as the ability to challenge the gyms in any order and the new regional variant of Wooper, is the possibility of another pre-order bonus for the games. Although this one may be more limited.
A user on Reddit by the name of Alex_dlc made a post discussing a possible exclusive pre-order bonus for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Alex_dlc claims that a Spanish GAME Twitter account has unveiled a statue of the Gen 9 starter Pokemon and that the item would be a pre-order exclusive for Spain.
It should be noted that this is just a rumor and it is unknown if this is actually a pre-order exclusive. If this were true, then due to the low availability, this product would likely become a popular collector’s item, much like this limited edition replica Great Ball. As a publisher, it’s not uncommon for Nintendo to region-lock certain products related to its games, but only time will tell if this statue proves exclusive.
Pre-ordering is a normal part of gamers’ lives, but some don’t engage with the storyline for a variety of reasons. These bonuses are a business tool, but why Nintendo would limit this statue to just Spain is a bit unclear Pokemon Fans may be wondering. Even though Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has left fans with many other questions to ponder until release, such as how Dynamax compares to the latest combat mechanic, Terastal.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet come with me soon Pokemon Fans who have multiple topics to discuss ahead of the fall release. The possibility that this pre-order is just one of them. The new rival Nemona has also brought in a lot of fan speculation. While the audience remains in the dark as to what the plans are for this potential pre-order, fans can continue to debate their opinion on the exclusivity of this potential item.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released on November 18th for the Nintendo Switch.
