Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Nintendo Switch Release date will land in 2022

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are the latest games released in the mainstream Pokémon series, and they will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch. As with the three starter Pokémon, the game will feature an open-world environment for the first time. While the games don’t have a specific release date yet, developer Game Freak has revealed that they will be released in late 2022.

What is the starter Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet?

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature brand new Generation IX Pokémon as well as some old favorites. Players can choose three Pokemon as their first partner: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Sprigatito is a “Capricious, Attention-seeking Grass Cat Pokémon” with the Overgrow ability, while Fuecoco is a “Flight Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace” and has the Blaze ability. Quaxly is a “serious and orderly Duckling Pokémon”; he is a Water-type Pokemon with the ability to Torrent.

As well as a glimpse of the new Pokemon, the announcement trailer includes some familiar faces like Pikachu, Starly, Hoppip, Lucario, Psyduck, and Meowth. How many can you spot?

The game’s open world will include many towns that blend into the wilderness, and Pokemon can be found everywhere, be it “in the sky, in the sea, and on the streets”. After the two games are released, players can also connect them with Pokémon HOMEThis means that Pokémon from other regions can be imported into the game to fight alongside them.

Game Freak doesn’t really explain any differences between the two games except that the player will get a different outfit depending on whether they’re playing Scarlet or Violet. More news is sure to come as we’re about to release on Nintendo Switch in late 2022.

In another, Elden Ring players are using the in-game messaging system to leave “finger but hole” notes throughout the game. Elsewhere, Knockout City will switch to a free-to-play model at the start of the Season and will no longer be published by EA.
