There are several mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Legend: Arceus, and Darkrai is something some players will especially enjoy catching. Before these fans can capture Darkrai, they must first meet two prerequisites, although it may not be clear to them exactly what those prerequisites are. The first step to catching Darkrai is beat Pokemon Legend: Arceus and see the credit roll. While the amount of time it takes to complete the game will certainly vary from player to player, most can expect to finish in around 20 hours. As a result, fans shouldn’t have too much trouble making this first claim, as long as they continue to spend time achieving the title, although that may not be the case with the second claim.

Specifically, the second requirement is to have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl on the same Switch being used to play Arceus. Notably, a save is made at any point in Brilliant diamond or Shining pearls will suffice to meet this requirement, even in the first place. Although this fact may not be of much help to players who do not have access to either Pokemon Gen 4 remake, which means those titles don’t need to be fully completed to catch Darkrai in Arceus.

With these two requirements met, fans should head to Jubilife City, check out the blackboard inside Team Galaxy HQ, and accept the request “The Darksome Nightmare” which is now available. This request will lead Pokemon Legend: Arceus player to a location southeast of Clamberclaw Cliffs in the Coronet Plateau, and Darkrai can actually be found there at night. Now all that’s left to do is catch the Mythical Pokemon, and that can prove to be a bit tricky.

To capture Darkrai, the player should join the battle. This requires a bit of precision, and fans should throw their Pokemon at Darkrai as soon as it starts screaming to avoid being stunned. Once the battle has begun, players will be able to capture Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Legend: Arceus with any Pokeball they choose to use.
