Pokemon GO – The best Mega Aerodactyl Counter

The Pokemon GO New Year activities is coming to an end and soon a new series of events and special activities will appear in the mobile AR game. As the Mountains of Power event approaches, Battle Raids fans may want to take some time to prepare some counter-strike lists for the upcoming Boss Raid.
The Legendary and Mega Raid Schedule for January 2022 is a pretty fun game filled with shiny chances, meta-appropriate bosses, and even a newly launched Mega. Mega Aerodactyl is coming early this month and Pokemon GO The player will need to prepare a counter attack for the new boss for the first time. That means learning the boss’ weak points and figuring out exactly where our counter is best positioned for the fight so no Raid Pass goes to waste this month.
Like its regular form (which has been a level 3 Battle Raid boss multiple times), Mega Aerodactyl is a paired form. Pokemon is Rock- and Flying-, which means it has a bunch of interesting weaknesses for trainers to exploit as they plan their counterattack roster this month. The biggest weaknesses that players will want to focus on are Water-, Electricity- and Rock-assorted. A squad made up of the highest level Pokemon with those three move sets should be well positioned to take down Mega Aerodactyl with a team of four or five trainers.

As always, it’s helpful for trainers to remember that the Mega Battle Raid can still be won even if they don’t have the exact counters listed above. The key is to simply recognize your boss’s weakness and stick to that strategy. In the case of Mega Aerodactyl, that means identifying the best Water, Electric, and Rock-type Pokemon available and putting them to good use. It’s well worth it burn through some Candy and TM to power up those Pokemon as well as get equipped with the recommended move sets. Players who follow those steps and stick with a party of 4 or more will have no problem getting through these battles.
In the coming weeks, we should learn more about what other events are coming in the early days of Heritage Season. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, coaches!
