We are all used to seeing mighty numbers earn daily by Pokémon GO, but Niantic’s monster-catching phenomenon took it to the next level by generating a staggering $21 million in its two days. Pokémon GO Fest 2021 incident.
The figure, which equates to around £15.4 million GBP, comes from new Sensor Tower data shared with Eurogamer; there, it was reported that Saturday was the “most profitable” of the two days, easily one of the app’s highest earnings days to date.
In an official Niantic summarize of the event, unsurprisingly avoiding giving us all the slick financial stats, the developer reveals that over 1.5 billion Pokémon have been captured, players walking together more than 125m km and more than 23m attack completed.
“Thank you Trainers, for making this year’s Pokémon GO Fest so special!” Niantic said. “We’re excited to see how much you’ve enjoyed the event, whether at home, at a local park or even at one of the city’s celebrations.
