Pokemon fans point out how the Province of Canada looks like Suicune

One Pokemon fan shared the observation that one in 10 Canadian provinces bears a suspicious resemblance to Pokemon Suicune.
NS Pokemon franchises have taken a lot of inspiration from reality over the years and lately various aspects of real life have also taken inspiration from Pokemon. However, some similarities between the game franchise and reality seem to be hilarious coincidences. One Pokemon Fans recently discovered a similarity between the head of Pokemon Suicune and a Canadian province.
Suicune, known as Pokemon Aurora, is a legendary Pokemon introduced in 2nd generation Pokemon Game. It resembles a large dog with a matted coat, a long mane, a ribbon-like tail, and a distinctive bony crest on its head. Suicune’s iconic silhouette was featured prominently in Crystal Pokemon, the game where Suicune is the mascot of.
Redditor 1mpish420 shared an image that combines a screenshot taken from a map of Canada and part of Official Suicune Character Art. The map shows an enlarged view of the island of Newfoundland, which provides 29% of the land area for the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Looking at the two images side-by-side, it’s easy to see the similarity between them – the island even shows an image of Suicune’s giant top and a flowing part of the creature’s mane.
While the comparison is impressive, it should be noted that this applies only to the island itself – the rest of the province does not bear any particular resemblance to Suicune. Even so, it’s a nice coincidence that an island looks like the head of Suicune, a water-type Pokemon that often spawns while walking on land. The Suicune appears to have been designed for land travel instead of swimming, and is the iconic image of Suicune from Pokemon cartoon is of creatures that run delicately over large bodies of water.
It seems other fans agree that the island of Newfoundland bears an uncanny resemblance to Suicune. One user pointed out that the two main ways off the island, aside from taking the plane, lie in similarities to Pokemonof crystals and mouths on the map. A second user noted that while the domestic Labrador might not look much like the Suicune, its name certainly conjures up the breed image. Some users questioned whether the image or Canada itself was real, all while other users claiming to be from Newfoundland shared other humorous facts about their home province. . Newfoundland and Labrador form the youngest and most eastern province in Canada, although Nunavut is the youngest territory.
