Ghost-type Pokemon has been a fan favorite since its introduction in Pokemon Red and Blue, with new creatures added to the roster in nearly every entry to the main series. BigRig Creates then guides viewers through the process of creating the spooky Spiritomb. Spiritomb’s quirky keystone was created as a physical stand, by pulling a full-fledged 3D model and then modifying it to assist fans in projecting images. Once satisfied with the design, he used a 3D printer to produce it, which took 30 hours just to create the basic stone slab. After everything was printed, BigRig carefully sanded, painted, and assembled the base so it could hold the fan.
The final product is impressive and will likely be a must-have in any decor Pokemon fan’s house. It’s easy to imagine this same technology being used to bring famous ghosts like the Haunter to life. These hologram fans are becoming more popular in the hobby of cosplay and fan art, and it’s great to see one being used to send a transparent Pokemon hovering into the real world.
