Pokemon fans make awesome holographic magic bombs

Spiritomb, like other Ghost-type Pokemon, has a flashy, ethereal appearance that is hard to replicate in real life. Then what better way to try, than to bring spooky things Ghost-type Pokemon to life as a hologram?
Ghost-type Pokemon has been a fan favorite since its introduction in Pokemon Red and Blue, with new creatures added to the roster in nearly every entry to the main series. The series’ ghosts have seen endless re-enactments in real life in the form of art, Build-a-Bears, etc., but see a Pokemon Holograms are quite unusual.
However, that didn’t stop Youtuber BigRig Creates from making it a reality. BigRig Creates shows the process of setting up a hologram fan. This type of fan is designed to display images through a combination of propeller movement and LED lights. Its fast oscillations allow it to produce moving, transparent images. BigRig chose two different skins for Spiritomb, with one perfectly recreating the look of its 2D game, and the other giving it a more realistic 3D look, based on its look. Pokemon GO‘s AR mode.
BigRig Creates then guides viewers through the process of creating the spooky Spiritomb. Spiritomb’s quirky keystone was created as a physical stand, by pulling a full-fledged 3D model and then modifying it to assist fans in projecting images. Once satisfied with the design, he used a 3D printer to produce it, which took 30 hours just to create the basic stone slab. After everything was printed, BigRig carefully sanded, painted, and assembled the base so it could hold the fan.
The final product is impressive and will likely be a must-have in any decor Pokemon fan’s house. It’s easy to imagine this same technology being used to bring famous ghosts like the Haunter to life. These hologram fans are becoming more popular in the hobby of cosplay and fan art, and it’s great to see one being used to send a transparent Pokemon hovering into the real world. While there’s nothing wrong with Pokemon luxury game and solid PVC toys, this almost anyone can see ghost type Pokemon in real life.
PokemonIts popularity has not waned in the years since it became a worldwide phenomenon. However, perhaps longtime fans of the series will be excited to see something like this. This kind of visual illusion couldn’t have been created by a fan or hobbyist when the game first came out. Spiritomb’s appearance as a hologram far exceeds what the games were able to produce in their early years. It will be interesting to see the creative methods Pokemon use by fans in the years to come as the series continues to gain attention with new entries such as Pokemon Legend: Arceus.
