Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Honey Tree Wait Time

The special honey plants found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl can attract rare Pokemon if the player waits a certain amount of time.
There are different ways to find and catch a variety of Pokemon in both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. One method that is almost exclusively reserved for games set in the Sinnoh region is the honey tree method.
Throughout the Sinnoh region, players can find fawn trees that stand out from their surroundings. These plants can be covered in honey to attract various Pokemon over a period of time. The position of these trees is consistent between the two Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, as well as the Pokemon spawned from them.
The player will be able to use the honey tree for the first time after saving the man who was attacked by Team Galactic in Floroma Meadow. Each pot of honey costs 100 PokeDollars, with them also available in batches of ten for 1,000 PokeDollars.
Waiting time for honey plants
After placing honey on the honey tree, it will take some time for Pokemon to appear. Specifically, it will take six hours for a Pokemon to spawn. This time is not affected by the Nintendo Switch internal clock, so the player cannot Change the Switch’s clock to make Pokemon appear faster.
After six hours have passed, the player will have 24 hours to encounter the Pokemon before it eats up the honey and leaves. If this happens, the player will need to pour more honey on the tree and wait another six hours.
The location of the nectar tree
There are a total of 21 honey plants that the player can use in the game. To increase the odds of getting the desired Pokemon from the trees, the player should place honey on as many trees as possible. The locations of these trees are as follows:
