A trio of Pokémon Fans have discovered that you can get the National Pokédex in Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls without having to defeat the Elite Four and become the champion.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls players have found a lot of glitches and omissions in the gen four remake since launch, but this new method shared today will give players access to tons of Pokémon not normally available to players. until the end of the game.
With this new method, players only need to beat the gym first, so they have access to the trade, and then complete the Sinnoh Pokédex by trading with other players. Technically, you don’t need to trade to complete the Pokédex, just seeing all of its Pokémon, but the only way to catch many of them early is through trading. If the Pokédex completes, then you’re eligible to receive the National Pokédex, even though you haven’t beaten all the gyms or entered the post-game phase.
This is not a simple task and will take a lot of transactions. But with the National Pokédex in hand, you may soon have access to all the restricted Grand Underground Pokémon, and they’ll spawn around your current progress level.
Different things you can do it with the National Pokédex including receiving the gift of Eevee and capturing Rotom. You’ll also be able to get Poké Radar to use sooner, which will help you keep track of all sorts of rare and shiny Pokémon.
There are a few things you are reported to be unable to do even with the National Pokédex and will need to wait until the end of the game. These include visiting Snowpoint Temple, Reversal Cave, Fullmoon Island, Sendoff Spring, Battle Grounds, Ramanas Park and encountering swarms.
If you know someone who has captured all 151 Sinnoh Pokémon and is ready to help you get your National Pokédex and Poké Radar soon, you can do so now.
