A Reddit user named Hoomanadaw found the softlock while it was playing and later shared a post with a video attached to show the steps needed to recreate it.

The main problem is Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls player may accidentally lose a lot of their progress or have their entire game saved depending on how often they save and other factors.
