Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp update also offers more ways to keep up with the game, even when it’s closed, with a new widget that displays the date and shows quotes from animals. The game also adds a planner that helps players keep track of everything going on in their campsite, such as upcoming holiday events. All these additions are being included in the free update.

This option microtransaction costs $0.99 USD per month, called Merry Memories Plan. Perks add additional themes to the new planner, as well as the ability to mark made memories with special stickers. Subscribers will also receive 20 monthly Leaf tickets, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camppremium currency. Since it can be difficult to earn Leaf Tickets through the game, this could give players a way to pick up some premium items without breaking the bank in the real world. While not everyone wants to spend real-world money on in-game items, the new subscription promises to add more Seasonal event rewards for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. This may appeal to players who have spent hundreds of hours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as the game is not expected to receive any new major updates.
