Plumber Makes ‘Unbelievable’ Discovery In The Wall Of Megachurch By Joel Osteen That Could Solve A Aged Crime

A seven-year investigation may have finally reached a turning point after a recent discovery was made at a Lone Star State church.

In 2014, $600,000 was stolen from a safe at Lakewood Church in Houston.

An investigation by the Houston Police Department is still ongoing and largely remains a mystery until a recent discovery was made that may provide further insight into the case.

On November 10, a Plumber performing on-site repairs were called to a local radio station to announce a find that could provide details of the disappearance of more than half a million dollars belonging to the church.

In an interview with KHOU-TV, radio DJ George Lindsey said it was like something seen in a movie. “Unbelievable!” he said, follow KPRC-TV.

“This is like a movie, like the Rock and Ryan Reynolds movie. This is crazy.”

KTVT-TV, a local newspaper station in the Dallas Fort-Worth area, covered the story and provided an audio recording of the caller’s event.

The plumber said he was working on a loose toilet and was moving some insulation away when hundreds of envelopes fell from the wall.

“We went to remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes fell off the wall, and I was like, ‘Oh, oh!’

According to the plumber, these findings were immediately reported to the maintenance supervisor, who then notified authorities at the Houston Police Department.

The amount in the envelopes was not disclosed and it is unclear if the envelopes are related to the more than $600,000 that was stolen.

KHOU also reported that the megachurch released a statement, “Recently, while repair work was being carried out at Lakewood Church, an undisclosed amount of cash and checks were found.”

“Lakewood immediately notified the Houston Police Department and is assisting with their investigation. Lakewood has no further comment at this time.”
