Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will get NVIDIA DLSS support next month

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis are among the new games that will receive Support for NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). Because PSO2, this support will start on February 9, after the game update.

For those with DLSS-enabled GeForce RTX cards, this means higher image quality when running games, with higher frame rates. To mark the announcement at CES, Sega has a brand new comparative preview so you can see what the application of DLSS technology means for New Genesis.

Sometimes when you are fighting, traveling or pursuing your goals, timing matters. It’s not a pity that everything also looks better when you’re doing it with this technology. When it was added with the February update, you should be able to select it and configure the DLSS options for your setup by going to the graphical settings menu. DLSS is a platform that uses ray tracing and AI to improve performance and better image quality.

There are over 150 games that support DLSS, and several more have already started supporting a related technology, NVIDIA’s DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing). Start with Scrolls online, This technology allows for better anti-aliasing and allows even an old game to continue to look good. This does not affect performance, but it is one of the options available to aid enjoyment.

Other games that received DLSS treatment during this time period include Rainbow Six: Extraction, Midnight Ghost Hunt, Hitman III, The Day Before, and Escape from Tarkov. For cards that support NVIDIA DLSS technology, there is a official list to see if your machine fits the bill.
