Penticton’s breweries have joined forces to brew the proper beer simply in time for Penticton Beer Week.
The limited-edition beer referred to as ‘Do Good’ is being bought province-wide to lift funds for Ooknakane Friendship Centre in Penticton. The centre is an Indigenous not-for-profit society that’s “dedicated to offering holistic, culturally-driven packages and providers designed to help, educate and strengthen folks of all nations,” states their web site.
The beer is a collaboration with Penticton’s Unhealthy Tattoo Brewing, Barley Mill Brew Pub, Cannery Brewing, Freeway 97 Brewing, Neighbourhood Brewing, Slackwater Brewing and Tin Whistle Brewing.
“It’s a golden bitter with honey and citrus,” mentioned Mike Coghill, Neighbourhood Brewing founder.

With a purpose to lift a minimum of $2,000 for the Ooknakane Friendship Centre, Penticton Beer Week Supervisor Kim Lawton and her crew tapped into their creativity to mark the week.
