It goes without saying that fans are super hyped for the final episode of People of Peacenot only because the R-rated superhero series is so much fun so far, but also because of the high level of secrecy surrounding the final installment.

James Gunn refuses to let the critics see it, which means we don’t know what Christopher Smith and the rest of the gang have, a refreshing change of pace in an era where vandals are more popular than ever. The filmmaker and his members have tease something crazy that even they can’t believe they got away with under the banner of Warner Bros. and DC Films, so we were both curious and excited.

In a recent conversation with TVLinestar Jennifer Holland hinted that we’re not ready for what’s to come, while also mentioning discussion of the possibility of a season 2 extension.

“To some extent, I think [series creator James Gunn] getting close to season 1 he wanted to make sure the story was a complete story. There may be hints of other things, but I don’t know that he has any definite idea that there will be a season 2 when he writes part 1, if that makes any sense. I think there’s always hope that it will, but never really have any conversation about it until you know how it’s received… But I’ll say this: One Crazy things happen in episode 8! ”

Based on the wave of buzz and momentum to welcome People of Peace hitherto, John Cena’s further heroic adventures are starting to look like a foregone ending. That being said, don’t be surprised if Gunn pulls the rug out from everyone next week, given his anarchic personality and penchant for subverting expectations.
