Road exile There may be no new expansions coming out at the end of the year, but that doesn’t mean the exiles won’t have plenty to keep themselves busy as 2021 draws to a close. Grinding Gear Games announced a series of events that will keep players busy throughout December and into January, no different. how did it do last year when Echoes of the Atlas expands has been delayed after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.
Here is the full list of events:
Endless Delve – December 3 – 13: During this event, players will learn more about the Azurite Mine. Unlike regular Path of Exile gameplay, players will skip the campaign entirely and have a whole new leveling experience within the dark confines of the mine.
Zizaran’s Gauntlet – December 10 – 20: The Zizaran live stream community is hosting its Gauntlet event again. In this event, monsters are much stronger than usual and players will compete by killing bosses and meeting objectives to earn points. This extreme mode is a challenge for even the most adept Path of Exile players.
Endless Heist – December 17 – 27: Endless Heist is a brand new mode where players will skip the campaign entirely and just level up by joining the adventurous Heists. The player must hire skilled soldiers to infiltrate the facility, evade detection by its guards, and go on a frantic run with the cargo. But be careful, if you die in Heist you will lose your loot!
Atlas Invasion – December 24 – January 3: Atlas Invasion is a new event mode where players will encounter map bosses in each region of Wraeclast. These formidable enemies will be found throughout the campaign, and pose an additional challenge for those who dare to confront them.
Delirium Everywhere – December 31 – January 10: The Delirium Everywhere event is a new mode in which the mist of Delirium has covered the land. Every area will be more difficult and have more monsters to defeat. While challenging, this mode is great for those who want to dive deep into the blood and glory that Wraeclast has to offer.
Path of Exile: Royale featuring Brutus – December 9, 23, 30: Path of Exile’s Battle Royale mode is back! Players will face off against each other in an increasingly narrow area as they seek to be the sole winner of the match. However, there is a catch! Once the remaining players reach the center of the island, they will also have to confront Brutus, who has no side on his side and will attempt to destroy anyone who comes near.
As you can see, most events feature some aspect of the previous tournament/expansion. In a way, it’s all “recycled” content, but with a new twist that brings it into the main world to provide some extra spice to casual encounters.
