Part 2 Of What If…? Will be more suitable for MCU

If you get the feeling that Marvel’s multiverse show What if…? has strayed too far from its MCU roots, you’re in luck. According to Marvel executive producer and development officer Brad Winderbaum, the film’s sequel will be more closely tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole.

Winderbaum appeared on podcasts This week in Marvel, where he was asked about new animated content on Disney Plus. Specifically, the host asked him about what’s next for What if…?

“We announced the second season of the show, which is going very well. We’re starting to see animation for the first episode, and it’s been more wild adventures with The Watcher and (it’s) starting to resonate more with the MCU frankly, as we move into season 2. .”

What this means, exactly, remains to be seen, but we could see more movie-related episodes or even more famous characters appear on the show.

Marvel recently teased the show’s new season with a mix of Miles Morales and Wolverine as well as a premiere date: March 22.

The skin combo retains Morales’ Spider-Man colors but also has some classic Wolverine touches. The character has four claws on each hand instead of the usual three like Wolverine.

What if…? is one of Marvel’s most experimental shows, mixing up different characters and sending them into other universes. It was originally a manga anthology and began in 1977 with What if Spider-Man joined the Fantastic Four?

Recently, Marvel has embraced the idea of multiverse more and more, especially with its upcoming release Spider-Man: There’s no way home, where Peter Parker asks Doctor Strange to change the timeline so that no one knows his secret identity.

Another movie with a multiverse is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will be released in May next year. | Part 2 Of What If…? Will be more suitable for MCU
