Palo Alto police sue over a Black Lives Matter mural

The second “E” of the mural depicted a quote from and portrait of Joanne Chesimard, often known as Assata Shakur, who was convicted of first-degree homicide for her function within the 1973 loss of life of a New Jersey state trooper. Whereas serving a life sentence, Shakur escaped jail and later fled to Cuba. In 2013, she was named to the FBI’s list of “Most Wished Terrorists.”
