The Los Angeles Lakers road trip will continue when they arrive at Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday to take on the Indiana Pacers. Indiana will move on after a win while the Lakers will stumble upon a loss.

Looks like Los Angeles had a smaller half of the collarbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They were in impressive distance but were unable to close the gap on Tuesday when they fell 106-100 to the New York Knicks. Power forward Carmelo Anthony not a difference-maker for Los Angeles; Melo played for 27 minutes with a 3-v-14 shot.

As for Indiana, they can’t say they have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. They started Monday’s game with ease, winning 109-77 over the Chicago Bulls. The team ran away with 67 points in the first half and mostly just sat above those guys in the second half to take the win. Indiana’s success is led by the efforts of forward strength Domantas Sabonis, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 pounds, and point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who had 16 points and seven assists.

The Lakers are expected to lose this next game by 6.5. They have lost to bettors playing odds on their previous three games, so buyers beware.

Los Angeles is currently 9-10 while the Pacers sit at 8-11. A few numbers to note before we get started: Los Angeles entered the competition boasting the fourth most blocked shots per game in the league at a rate of 5.95. But Indiana is even better: they top the league in shots blocked per game, with an average of 6.84. Spots on paint can be difficult to spot.
