Outriders’ new Horizons update is out tomorrow, with full expansion plans for next year

There is a brand new update for Outriders is coming out tomorrow and it will make a lot of big changes to the game. It’s called New Horizons, and the name reflects what things will look like in the future.

Expeditions are changing to be more inclusive and have better rewards. Changes include ending the Expedition timer. Previously, all Expeditions ran on time, and the faster you completed them, the higher your rewards. What this did was make people minimize their builds, so it didn’t allow everyone to get the flexibility promised and limit the number of possible builds. Expeditions will now give you a quest reward every time you complete it.

Rewards are also being rebalanced. With the removal of the timer, Expeditions still have varying degrees of difficulty and some will require more work to complete than others, so the logical thing to do would be to make the better rewards for more challenging Expeditions. The longer it takes to complete and some of the work involved, the better Rewards you will see. For example, completing the Eye of the Storm Expedition after this update will give you one of three legendary items just for completing the quest. And everyone will be able to get a free legendary item through November 30.

There are also four new expeditions coming to the game that allow you to explore new areas of the planet Enoch. The first part, Molten Depths, is unlocked automatically, with the other three unlocking at challenging levels 4, 8, and 12.

There are also changes to the gearbox. Outside balance skills and equipment for all four classes Outriders, legendaries require less grinding and a new transmogrification system that allows you to change the look of a gear unit. No more wearing mismatched devices just for the stats to be included.

Other changes include more control options on the console and fully functional cross-play for multiplayer, with improved better combos, and AFK detection.
