OPP lay murder charge in 1985 death of baby in Perth County

A St. Marys lady, 62, is going through a cost of first-degree homicide below the 1985 Felony Code in reference to a decades-old loss of life of a child.

Perth County OPP say its officers, below course from the OPP felony investigation department and with help from the Stratford Police Service, “commenced an investigation” on Thursday into the 1985 loss of life of 25-day outdated Meghan Thompson.

Katherine Thompson, who would have been in her mid-20s on the time of the loss of life, has been charged within the case.

Police say they won’t be releasing additional particulars at the moment and “a publication ban is in impact for the proceedings.”
