Some union officers have urged that mandates — even with these exemptions and lodging — will backfire, and trigger vaccine-resisters to withstand extra. If that’s the case, it suggests union officers should present extra management on this concern, not much less. Their job is to guard their employees from actual threats, not the fever desires of conspiracy theorists. That requires looking for his or her most susceptible members, together with those that are immunocompromised, or who’ve at-risk youngsters not but eligible for vaccination, and who have to know that their workplaces are protected.
