ONIC PH’s Instagram page is mass reported after winning against RRQ Hoshi in the M3 world championship

The match between ONIC PH and RRQ Hoshi was equally interesting. Both teams had excellent performances but ONIC PH proved themselves as the dominant team after winning 3-0 against their opponents.

Immediately after the success in the knockout stage of the M3 world championship, ONIC PH’s Instagram account was suddenly taken down due to alleged mass reporting. This was revealed through his Facebook post, warning fans about fake accounts claiming to be ONIC PH’s new Instagram handle.

“Any Instagram page claiming to be our new account is fake. Our one and only Instagram account is @onicphilippines,” The ONIC PH has an annotation.

ONIC PH states that it has reached out to Instagram to resolve the matter. The esports organization also encourages fans to avoid mass reporting an organization or individual’s social media accounts just to sow hate.

“We at ONIC Philippines do not tolerate this type of digital attack on our social media channels. We call on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community to support us in this situation. Let’s all respect each other as fans of the same games we love to play and watch,” The ONIC PH has an annotation.

ONIC Esports has also released an official statement in support of its sister team.

This isn’t the first time an e-sports team’s social media handle has been taken down due to mass reports. A similar incident occurred during MPLI 2021, where her Instagram page was also taken down due to mass reporting.

Both Blacklist International and RRQ Hoshi released a statement indicating that they do not endorse malicious behavior of this kind and that fans should respect each team regardless of the outcome of the tournament.

While ONIC PH is now one step closer to the Finals of the M3 World Championship, RRQ Hoshi still has one last chance to score in the lower bracket.
